How ‘The Next Chapter Club’ Was Born
Some ideas aren’t born in boardrooms or polished business plans. They come from stories, friendships, and that spark of ‘what If’ that refuses to leave you alone. After finishing my book From Tapas to Towers, I felt it needed something more; something living, breathing, beyond the printed page. A way to bring women together around the themes that shaped my own journey: reinvention, culture clashes, humor in the struggles, and the beauty of turning a new page in life. That’s when the idea of a retreat started to form.
And of course, when the word “retreat” came to mind, I immediately thought of Nathalie. She’s brilliant at creating them. Over the years she’s hosted retreats in Spain, The Netherlands and Morocco. She creates spaces that feel feminine, relaxed and a little magical. We have worked together before – we created unforgettable events together – so I knew she was the perfect person to team up with again.
Marbella was the obvious choice. I lived there for nearly a decade, Nathalie recently bought her home in the area, and the Costa del Sol has the perfect energy: lively, yet easy to slow down in. Add the climate (fresh sunny days and cozy evenings) and we knew this was where the first Next Chapter retreat had to happen.
And January? Well, it’s the most symbolic month of all. A fresh year, a blank page, the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and begin again.
So here we are: two women, a book, a friendship, and a shared belief that every woman deserves the chance to step away, breathe, and start her next chapter. Want to know more about who we are? Read our story →
